The GCISD Board of Trustees heard an update on activities related to the 2005 Bond Program during the regular meeting on February 22, 2010. The following update was presented:
- On Bid Package 8, work continues on the renovation of the Administration Complex. Installation continues on roofing, doors and hardware, plumbing fixtures, exterior glass, flooring, tiles, and cabinetry. Final painting continues throughout the building and concrete is being placed at the front drive and entrances. Exterior canopies are in place and exterior grading of the site is in progress in preparation for landscaping. Inspection of work at the Finance/Warehouse building is scheduled this week. The project is being funded with bond money originally allocated for renovations to the Administration Complex combined with funds the District received from TxDOT due to the expansion of Highway 26.
